Film Stars Coming Back to the Villages

A feature film will begin shooting in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow beginning in June.

The film, called Predisposed, stars Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter).

According to the Internet Movie Database, Predisposed is a comedy about a piano prodigy (Eisenberg) who is dealing with his troubled mother (Melissa Leo) and ends up "enlisting help from a hapless drug dealer, Sprinkles (Tracy Morgan), on the day he has an audition for a prestigious music program."

According to Tarrytown Village Administrator Michael Blau, the production company for the film has begun filing permits to shoot in Patriots Park and the Tarrytown YMCA in early June. However, as of yesterday, formal approval had not been given by the Village. 

Sleepy Hollow Village Administrator Anthony Giaccio said that permits and fees in Sleepy had been filed and issued for the week of June 6 through 10.

In Sleepy Hollow, the production will be using the James Galgano Senior Center as a staging area. They will be shooting at Tyrynda Thai, along with some outdoor shots and in an apartment on Cortlandt Street. There will also be some driving scenes taking place in Philipse Manor on Bellwood Avenue.

"They won't be closing any streets because they will just be driving like normal," Giaccio said. "They will be using a police escort to make sure they are safe."
