The Bear Mountain Ice Rink at Bear Mountain State Park is open for public skating sessions. Sitting atop a small hill, the outdoor rink offers spectacular views of the park and surrounding areas. Rental skates are available.

The Bear Mountain Ice Rink is a great place to ice skate. The condition of the ice is very good and the scenery is wonderful. The Hessian Lake Figure Skating Club is now offering a "Learn to Skate" program at the Bear Mountain Ice Rink. The club's sessions are from 8:15 am to 9:45 am on Saturday & Sunday mornings. People interested in improving their skating skills can come to a club session free of charge as a guest to obtain more information about skating lessons.
