All-stars on the pitch

Sleepy Hollow boys soccer star Matthew Praino earned another just award for his outstanding campaign as the all-section senior forward was named to the LoHud Boys Soccer Blog all-star squad.

Hackley's Daniel Norris, the Boston-College bound senior midfielder, also was named an all-star for his stellar campaign.

Bucci shines again for Sleepy

Sleepy Hollow girls basketball standout Jamie Bucci continues to dominate the hardwood as she registered a game-high 40 points in the Headless Horsemen's 67-55 triumph at Eastchester Dec. 22.

Bucci was awarded by LoHud as its player of the night for her scoring prowes.

Legends wins on ice

Sleepy Hollow/Irvington's ice-hockey team defeated visiting Mount Pleasant 3-1 Dec. 21.

Jake Warren led the Legends with two goals with teammate Brett Pesce scoring once.

Matt Inglas made 16 saves in goal for the host.
