Folks were preparing for the upcoming St. Patrick's Parade in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. There were some serious incidents, including assaults and fraud, in Tarrytown that the police had to deal with. Our mom about town went to the Winter Farmer's Market in Briarcliff Manor.

We learned about a major sewer line that failed in Tarrytown over the weekend. The break caused partially-treated sewage to be dumped into the Hudson River. There was a tractor-trailer fire on the Tappan Zee Bridge. The county looked like it would have a $166 million deficit this year, while the Pocantico Hills School District actually ended up with a surplus.

We took a look at the photography of Nancy Zallo. We also previewed the songs of the Underground Railroad, a performance that was made this week at the Union Church. Sleepy Hollow had its first hearing on changes to their building codes, while justice continued to be served at the Sleepy Hollow Court House.

We dug into Sleepy Hollow's proposed building codes. We asked parents at Patriots Park about their views on possible school consolidation and the loss of Tappan Hill. Our sports writer took a look back at the boys' basketball season. The body of a missing Army reservist was found near Yonkers; the man had jumped from the Tappan Zee Bridge in January.

Love him or hate him, Karl Rove was in Tarrytown and the local GOP were eager to press their points in this year's election. A man who hit a Tappan ZEExpress bus was in court on Wednesday. Sleepy Hollow High School students showcased their artwork at the Rye Arts Center. Trustees in Tarrytown battled down the budget to make sure a tax increase would be below 3 percent.

The state released graduations numbers for all state public high schools, including SHHS. Our food reviewer said that Bistro Z was the spot for a weekday brunch. We took a look at the history of Daylight Savings Time and the Hackley boys' basketball squad had a tough season this year, but are well positioned for next year's challenge.

A major storm hit Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, but most of the damage was concentrated in the southern part of Tarrytown. School budget talks continued with arguments to keep Tappan Hill School and many voicing opposition to a potential 8.25 percent tax increase in Sleepy Hollow.
