DESCRIPTION:Postponed until March 7th!\nJoin us for another "Meet the Far
 mer" series to learn more about local  food and meet face to face with t
 he farmers that grow the food sold at  our markets.  Taliaferro Farm is 
 a certified organic farm located in New Paltz\, NY. Pete Taliaferro purc
 hased the farm in 1995. He  and his family including two sons and a daug
 hter participate in all  aspects of running the farm. Besides growing ve
 getables and fruits they  also raise chickens and produce their own eggs
 .  Pete will  discuss different topics such as why he decided to become 
 an organic  farmer\, what it means to be organic\, what are the main dif
 ferences in  organic growing methods\, and will answer your questions.  
 Taliaferro Farm will provide eggs from the farm for a cooking  demonstra
 tion. The eggs will be prepared with vegetables that are  currently avai
 lable at the farmer markets. Everyone will have a chance  to taste prepa
 red dish and light refreshments will be served during the  event  Fee $1
