Showing Gratitude This Season

I have so much to be thankful for, and my position at The Volunteer Center gives me an opportunity to remember that we need to show gratitude in addition to saying it.  Lately, I have put together an ad campaign to express to the over 900 volunteers in the RSVP of Westchester program how much we appreciate their work.  Locally, the volunteers in RSVP give their time by:

  • Tutoring low income children
  • Consulting with nonprofit agencies
  • Visiting isolated seniors
  • Giving tours of museums
  • Educating people about Medicare
  • Delivering meals
  • and so much more....
RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over.   To find out how you can join RSVP of Westchester, please call The Volunteer Center of United Way at (914) 948-4452.
