On Saturday, Dec. 8 (2pm - 5pm), at Tarrytown Nursery School, meet eight great children's book authors and illustrators and do some holiday shopping. Children can enjoy story time while you shop.
Authors and illustrators in attendance: Nick Bruel, author and illustrator of the Bad Kitty series which have been awarded "Book of the Year" in 5 states; Laurie Keller, author and illustrator of Birdy’s Smile Book, Arnie the Doughnut, and Scrambled States of America; Anik McGrory, illustrator ofMostly Monty and Magical Monty ; George O’Connor, author and illustrator of New York Times Bestseller picture book for children, Kapow! and a new series of graphic novels based on the Greek Gods; Michael Rex, author and illustrator of the Fangbone series, Goodnight Goon, and Runaway Mummy; Mark Siegel, illustrator of the Giesel Award winning To Dance: A Ballerina's Graphic Novel;Colleen AF Venable, author of a new series of graphic novels for young children: Raining Cats and Detectives and Hamster and Cheese; Caldecott Medalist Ed Young, illustrator of Nighttime Ninjaand The House That Baba Built .
The Book Fair will be held at Ackerman Hall located at the corner of John and Elizabeth Streets, one block south of Main Street. Tarrytown, NY.
