The Jacob Burns Film Center’s (JBFC) Education Department has scheduled two Volunteer Training sessions. The Media Arts Lab, the Education Center which is part of the JBFC campus, is seeking volunteers for two of their education programs:
• See Hear Feel Film – A program in which volunteers act as educational facilitators and assist students to learn to think like filmmakers during two-hour morning or afternoon sessions. These classes are at the Media Arts Lab in Pleasantville.
• Minds in Motion – Volunteers work with the same group of students in 12 two-hour sessions as the students collaborate to create their own original animated films. These classes are held at schools in New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Tarrytown, Ossining and Yonkers.
Minds in Motion training will take place on January 10th and See Hear Feel Film training will take place on January 14th. Both training sessions will be from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Media Arts Lab, 405 Manville Road in Pleasantville, NY 10570.
