CNBC's Sharon Epperson to Keynote 914INC.'s 4th Annual Women in Business Awards

WESTCHESTER, NY | October 10, 2013 - 914INC., a Westchester Magazine publication, has announced that financial reporter Sharon Epperson will be the keynote speaker at its 4th annual Women in Business Awards luncheon. The magazine will announce this year’s 15 honorees in its upcoming Q4 issue, available October 29.

914INC.’s Women in Business Awards pay tribute to a select group of female executives and entrepreneurs who were nominated during a two-month open nomination period. The magazine's editors chose women who they feel have demonstrated a consistent level of success in their respective fields and have made a lasting impact both on the economy and in their communities. The magazine will recognize 15 winners in four categories: entrepreneurs, executives, non-profit leaders, and government leaders.

The 2013 Women in Business winners will be honored at a sit down luncheon on Thursday, November 21 at the Doubletree by Hilton, Tarrytown, NY. Sharon Epperson is a regular contributor on NBC's "Today" and appears frequently on "NBC Nightly News," MSNBC and NBC affiliates nationwide. As CNBC's personal finance and senior commodities correspondent, Epperson reports on personal finance for the network, CNBC.com and other NBC Universal properties and also covers the global energy, metals and commodities markets from the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Her first book, "The Big Payoff: 8 Steps Couples Can Take to Make the Most of Their Money—and Live Richly Ever After," was a finalist for the Books for a Better Life Awards, honoring works that have "changed the lives of millions." She also was a contributing writer for "The Experts' Guide to Doing Things Faster." Epperson's personal finance expertise has been featured in numerous publications, including USA Weekend, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Self, Essence, Ebony and Time, where she had covered business, culture, social issues and health as a correspondent prior to joining CNBC.
