If you have a dog, you definitely want to take your dog for a swim at AF Veteran park. This is always one of the most popular events the town sponsors. The date: Sunday, September 8 from 10-2 PM. Hundreds of dogs enjoy swimming at one of the mini pools. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the East Rumbrook Dog Park (which is located off of Dobbs Ferry Road, near the Sprain Parkway). You may be surprised what a great swimmer your dog is!
ANOTHER GREAT EVENT THIS WEEK.. A great outdoor concert festival co-sponsored by the village of Hastings on Hudson. Take Me To The River Saturday the 7th in Hastings, info at www.12milesnorth.org where people can see the excellent lineup at this, our 7th fest, as well as buy tickets in advance ($18 for adults in advance, $25 at door, kids prices listed on the site, under 9: free, pre-teens/teens $5, college students/seniors $10)
