SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM
The Westchester Community Opportunity Program (WestCop) is offering an exciting opportunity for low income seniors who want to make a difference.
The Foster Grandparent Program is a National Program which provides an opportunity for income eligible seniors (age 55 or older) to work in their community one-on-one with children in Head Start Programs, elementary schools or day care centers.
Foster Grandparents receive a paid tax free stipend, vacation days, sick days and other benefits, typically they work a minimum of 15 hours a week. Currently there are over 200 seniors in the WestCOP. Program.
