Metro North: President's Visit Should Not Pose Big Problems for Train Riders

The Hudson Line plans a normal schedule through the afternoon of President Obama's May 14 visit to Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown, Metro North officials said. However, there may be pauses.

And trains will stop at Tarrytown, said spokesman Aaron Donovan.

"Trains may be momentarily held at the request of the Secret Service," he said, "but we don't expect it to have any cascading effects or cause massive delays."

Philipse Manor resident Ken Anderson adjusted his schedule just in case.

"I was originally going into the city tomorrow, but cancelled that appointment since I was planning on taking the 3:10 PM train," he said.

Non-residents who drive to and commute to and from the Tarrytown train station will have to seek parking elsewhere in town, as the non-resident lots at the station will be closed off.
