Road Repaving Begins Thursday in Sleepy Hollow

Many of Sleepy Hollow's most treacherously bumpy bit of roadways will finally get an overdue smoothing.

August marks the beginning of "milling" season and various roads will be ground down to make way for new surfaces.

Here's the schedule from Village Clerk Paula McCarthy, and heed parking changes as noted on temporary street signs:

The Village of Sleepy Hollow Department of Public Works will be milling the following streets starting promptly at 7 a.m., on the following days:

  • Thursday August 1st: Fremont Circle
  • Thursday August 1st: Lower half of Harwood Ave.
  • Friday August 2nd: Half of Pocantico St., from Elm St. to Broadway (Rt 9)
  • Friday August 2nd: Lower part of Beekman Avenue, from Clinton St to River St. (Ichabod's Landing)
If you have any questions please call the Dept. of Public Works at: 366-5190.

Are they missing something? Weigh in below if you have a street you suffer from that needs some work.
