Sleepy Hollow Celebrates New Year with Meal

The third annual New Year's Day community meal was a delicious success with a larger crowd than ever.

On a day when most are sleeping in, or at the mall exchanging presents, a bunch of volunteers were at work in Sleepy Hollow's Galgano Center preparing, serving and cleaning up a festive community meal for all.

Many guests of all ages came, filling every red or green topped table in the large hall. The food was as abundant as the help, with ham, pork, turkey and sides served up by volunteers from the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps, Police Benevelent Association, DPW, Fire Department, Rivertown Runners, Board of Trustees, and more.

Thanks to the many who helped, donated and came out for a great New Year's Day tradition.
