Here's a big round-up of the many events going on in the Villages starting this Saturday and going through May. Why stop doing good when Earth Day is over?
Sat, April 21; 10 a.m. to noon
Volunteers will take to the streets to pick up garbage that has been accumulating in the villages over the winter.
All those who wish to participate should gather at 9:45 a.m. at , rain or shine. Bring gloves, bright clothing, and water if it is hot out. Volunteers will be designated specific routes to clean during the event, and people can request to clean around their own neighborhoods if they so desire.
This event is sponsored by the Villages' Environmental Action Committees. Those with questions about the cleanup can contact David Bedell or Sean Roach at: sleepyholloweac@yahoo.com; or Carole Griffiths at: Carole.Griffiths@liu.edu
