Irvington Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting with a lecture by Kenneth T. Jackson titled, “America Begins in New York: The Empire State in the National Narrative”

The Irvington Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. with a lecture by Kenneth T. Jackson titled, “America Begins in New York: The Empire State in the National Narrative”.  Jackson is former president of the New York Historical Society, professor of history at Columbia University, a preeminent authority on New York City and author of many books including THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEW YORK CITY.  Irvington Presbyterian Church, Calvin Auditorium, 25 North Broadway.  Free to members, non-members $5 donation, refreshments.  Discount copies of the book will be available.  Visit Irvingtonhistoricalsociety.org.
