Lyndhurst will be closed to the public on Friday, July 6, to allow for the filming of a documentary for the History Channel. The documentary, about the men who built America, will feature such notables as JP Morgan, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Thomas Alva Edison and Nikola Tesla.

Lyndhurst will re-open for tours on Saturday and Sunday, but visitors will see the furnishings slightly altered with props for the filming. Guides will be able to tell visitors about the stories being filmed in various rooms.

On Friday, July 13, tours will begin at noon instead of 10 a.m. Sets will remain in place throughout this weekend, as well.  All tour schedules return to normal by Friday, July 20th.

Please visit  www.lyndhurst.org for any schedule updates.
