Have You Visited the Hudson Valley Writers' Center Lately?

Come by the Hudson Valley Writers' Center in Sleepy Hollow for a whole host of classes and events for all ages and tastes.

The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center is a special literary hub enjoying historic (and very convenient) digs at the Philipse Manor train station.

Its new director, already a year into her term, is Jo Ann Clark, introducing herself and the center in this video here; you might see her riding her bike to work as she lives nearby. It seems idyllic work to welcome creative types from all over the country – from Alaskan fiddler poet Ken Waldman to kids learning how to write video games.

There’s a ton of classes as well as events – from monthly open mic nights here to a fancy fundraising gala ball at Tappan Hill in the fall.
