Mamaroneck teen and singing sensation Carly Rose Sonenclar will be back for the semi-final round of X Factor this Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
The 13-year-old has been belting out tunes since she was 2-years-old and was appearing on off-Broadway shows like The Night of the Hunter by the time she was 7. She later appeared in Les Miserables on Broadway and, in 2009, played Carrie in the national tour of Little House on the Prairie: The Musical, according to her biography on the X-Factor website. She has also appeared in movies like The Nanny and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. And, if that wasn't enough to impress you, Carly has also sung the national anthem for the New York Knicks, LA Dodgers and at the U.S. Open.
Carly needs the support of her fans—also known as "Carly's Angels"—to help keep her in the competition. After the performance, fans can vote as many times as they'd like by texting a four digit code that will appear on the screen, calling the toll-free number that appears or online; additional voting information can be accessed here.
"Thank you so much to everyone for all of your support! I couldn't have made it into the semi-finals without you. I am working hard to make you proud but I need your help now more than ever to make it in to the finale! Please watch the show Wednesday at 8:00 and tell all your friends to vote," said Carly, who always dreamed about competing on a singing show.
On Dec. 18, a winner will be chosen to receive a $5 million recording contract.
