Under the leadership of veteran (and very patient) director Peter Royston, two different age groups of young thespians will perform demanding Shakespeare plays three days this week.
Until Thursday's premiere, it's rehearsal time, and you can pull up a lawn chair every evening this week in and see just what it takes to put up a smooth production...and get kids to remember their lines.
The YMCA Summer Shakespeare Camp is doing bloody Macbeth with kids entering grades 2 through 6 enjoying their fake swords to the fullest, and enchanting Twelfth Night for the those entering grades 6 through 12. The intensive four-week course culminates in three days of multiple performances.
