Tappan Zee Bridgeman Celebrate Good Day NY’s 25 Years

Sleepy Hollow resident Bill Losier started The Tappan Zee Bridgeman band “as a goof.  Now 15 years later as a professional for-hire marching band, they are on daytime television.

The Tappan Zee Bridgeman recently helped Good Day NY hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto celebrate the Fox 5 show’s 25th anniversary. Kelly said the band’s performance was no joke.

"That was overwhelming. I thought you guys were some rinky dink high school marching band!” said the host, impressed by the band’s rendering of “Hooked on a Feeling (Ooga Chaga."

“Yes we’re all pro's,” Loiser told Kelly. “We have full time player, we have music educators and we have your average Joe 9 to 5-ers.”

The performance got Scotto dancing up a storm, while inspiring Kelly to pick up and try one of the band’s tubas.
