Tarrytown Teachers Read Their Favorite Children's Books at Warner Library

Starting this Thursday, one teacher will read a beloved book to children each week through August 23.

From the :

Educators, principals and school administrators from the Tarrytown School District will conduct a read-aloud of one of their favorite books every Thursday from July 12 to August 23  from 1:15 – 1:45 PM.  Come and enjoy a Tarrytown teacher telling a tale – and bring your Summer Reading Log and stay afterwards to read a bit, or for the library’s weekly craft table, or browse the shelves to borrow a book. Escape the heat of the summer for a cool time in your air-conditioned public library.

Special thanks to the staff of the Children’s Room at the Warner Public Library and the teacher volunteers of the Teachers’ Association of the Tarrytowns for making this program possible.

As far who reads what when, "it is a surprise," says library director Maureen Petry, "and that's the drama and fun of it."
