To maintain record retrieval and retention systems/services to meet the needs of the medical staff, hospital personnel and Health Information Services Department. This position is primarily responsible for oversight, coordination, and tasks related to training, testing, documentation, master file maintenance and implementation of the Electronic Health Record Application in Health Information Services. The position functions to assure the integrity of the Electronic Health Record. Advocates forms design that best meets clinical, scanning and staff, hospital personnel and Health Information Services Department.
Candidates sought in the areas of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Search. Specific areas of interest include: Information Extraction, Machine Translation, Machine Learning, Question Answering, Text Summarization, NLP Infrastructure and Tools Development, Text Understanding and Generation, Cross-Lingual Search, and Text Categorization. Candidates with a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related areas are preferred. _____
Registers/admits patients with efficiency (includes inpatient and outpatient hospital based procedures). Interviews patients and/or representatives to ensure the collection of information is entered into the computer database efficiently. Collects payment for any non-covered services rendered at time of service.
