Even with a castle in the running, the Rockefellers still came out on top. Kykuit is something of a castle in its own right and our readers said they would pick this first as the best Staycation spot around.
A visit to , rich with find modern art, gorgeous grounds and good stories, won with 29 percent of the vote.
Next came another Rockefeller gem, the grounds, full of natural treasures. Hiking here came in second place with 17 percent.
Finally, that ol' , good for fancy drinks, fine dining, and an overnight stay fit for a king and queen, came in third at 14 percent.
All wonderful venues in very different ways.
