Shop Talk: Exchanging Services on Patch

We offer a few different ways for you to connect with fellow community members and share your needs.

Searching for a babysitter? Need to use a certain tool, but would rather borrow than buy? Hoping to carpool next month when the kids have practice three times a week?

Maybe you want to line up a teenager from the neighborhood to shovel your driveway when the next storm hits. Or you've lost the plumber's phone number and need to find a new one.

Look no further than Patch! We are creating a space for you to share your needs with community members, whether you're selling or seeking.

In the comments section below this story, leave a note detailing the service or item you're looking to pick up or give away. You can also email me (Ashley.Tarr@Patch.com) and I'll act as the middleman, posting the request and relaying any responses. A third option is posting an announcement (directions ) and adding this tag: "Southeast Brewster Services." Doing so will allow your announcement to show up on this topic page, another place where community members and I can visit for exchange purposes.

Please keep our Terms of Use in mind as you mingle with folks and work out ways to help one another. And since this is a new feature on Southeast-Brewster Patch, please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know if you have suggestions on how to improve the forum.

Brewster10509 user is hoping to borrow a cane. Here's his message: "I need a sturdy man's cane, wood, for about 4-5 weeks. Would return then as per agreement. 35-37" cane height." If you can help, leave a message here or email me (Ashley.Tarr@Patch.com) and I'll try to arrange a connection.

Here's another one from a Brewster10509 user (leave a message here or email me at Ashley.Tarr@Patch.com and I'll put you in touch): "Wanted in brewster: 10-12 weathered, faded terra cotta unilock pavers, will pick up. Does anyone have a few terra cotta colored pavers left over from an old project, or from one which has been dismantled? Newer stones with brighter color don't fit in my project."
