Breast Cancer Survivor? Let's get the word out about micropigmentation options!

Breast Cancer survivors rights to full disclosure on available options after reconstruction: micropigmentation.

I have recently contacted Warner Library in Tarrytown asking to use a small space to hold an educational seminar about the exciting options now available in micropigmentation for breast cancer survivors after mastectomy. The request was denied on an inaccurate assumption that "there arent enough women in Westchester who are interested in that topic." What part of this attitude cooperates with breast cancer awareness in general?  I contacted the Support Connection with the same request and was told the same thing – that since I am making a living as an areola artist (just like plastic surgeons and reconstruction surgeons making their living removing the cancer and rebuilding the breast) I am being stopped and discouraged in  teaching women the latest technology available to them... until they ask for the information by name. (When they dont even know what the industry is called: micropigmentation).

What kind of catch 22 is this?  If they don’t know that beauty on their breasts is an option for them, how can they ask for it by name?  Keeping women in the dark is preferred over education?  Really?

Assuming you are a breast cancer survivor – would you agree with not allowing a free public forum because the topic of discussing breasts in general isn’t welcome or comfortable?  Every living person’s anatomy includes two nipples and areolas, why are we still embarrassed to talk about it?  Men included….they get breast cancer too and no one says a thing about the men!

There are thousands of breast cancer survivors in the world today who exist with one breast or both breasts missing, or if they have a breast mound (with or without implants after cancer and after reconstruction), they exist without nipples or areolas on those breast mounds.  They are told by health care providers that this is as good as it gets and that they should learn to live with it.  This information is outdated and flat out wrong!  As a life changer in the field of micropigmentation (artistically implanting pigment into the skin creating PERMANENT colorful, life-like nipples and areolas with the use of a tattoo machine) I have a message for all of you:

You can be proud and happy again when you look at your naked self in the mirror and see gorgeous colorful areolas and nipples  – with little to no pain, a quick NON-SURGICAL procedure that will remain with you for the rest of your life!  The Areola Architect who can produce Michaelangelo breasts for you, lives right here in Tarrytown.  Licensed, certified and highly specialized.  The tattoo machine in the skilled hands of 30 years of portrait and body painter experience will change your life forever.  That’s a guarantee.

Be silent no more! Ask your support groups, libraries and doctors to have a highly trained and skilled Areola Architect teach survivors about new options and new ways! Nothing remians the same, and with new technology and skilled artists available why would we not start talking about it and provide comfort and peace at the end of a mighty struggle that was won!

I am here for one purpose and one purpose only: to give back to you, that which was removed – and give it back to you simply and easily with happiness, precision and pride.  But I am one tiny voice in a crowd of noise about breast cancer prevention.  Where are the conversations about what has been left on your chest? When everything is said and done....What can be done to minimize scars and even out breasts that don’t match or are pointing in the wrong direction?  Micropigmentation in the hands of a Master - that's what.  Isn’t that topic as important as the celebration of your life, cancer-free?

If you know of an available space I could use to lead an open, honest discussion and a short seminar (free to the public) for anyone diagnosed with or survivors of breast cancer, please contact me.   If you have been affected by this disease or know anyone else who has, now is the time to do your part in spreading the word of hope and joy as options. I cant do it alone – I need your help.

And I have never blogged before...is anyone reading? Please give me your opinion.

Also, if you know of a college student looking for a business to model their Masters thesis marketing plan after or a non-profit Public Relations company who would assist me in promoting and marketing my small business so that I can help as many breast cancer survivors as possible, please forward my information to them.  Help me help women in need.  I thank you and breast cancer survivors thank you!
