Red Barn Bakery in Irvington is offering a private class in dessert preparation as an incentive to participate in its Kickstarter fundraiser program.
The class includes an evening lesson at the bakery in "preparing one fabulous dessert," owner Randell Dodge said. "We'll end the evening with beverages and a tasting of favorite bakery treats."
Up to six students can be accommodated at a time. To qualify for the class requires a pledge of $800 or more.
The Kickstarter fundraising program has generated $16,045 in pledges from 141 backers to date; this represents 62 percent of its $26,000 goal. The campaign ends on July 3.
