"We will be open from 5 p.m. to whatever time the last customer leaves," chef Guillemo Escobar said.
Escobar and partner Manny Flores were formerly at Striped Bass on the Tarrytown waterfront; Escobar worked at Striped Bass for nearly six years and was the restaurant's sous chef.
The New Year's Eve special dishes are:
- Surf and Turf. An eight-ounce filet mignon with a lobster tail, salad and roasted or mashed potatoes
- Rack of Lamb. With mint jelly, salad and roasted or mashed potatoes
- Stuffed Chicken Breast. With sausage, smoked buffalo mozzarella, salad and roasted or mashed potatoes
Escobar said that the New Year's Eve desserts will include house-prepared chocolate mousse made the same afternoon.
Entrées on the regular menu include grilled or blackened salmon, seafood linguini, trout, tilapia, shell steak, meatloaf, penne a la Vodka with chicken, and chicken Scarpariello. Entrée prices begin at $12. A children's menu is also available.
House wine by the glass is priced at $8. A wide selection of special cocktails is available; most are priced at $9.
River Grill is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
