About Town: Fishing Derby

Chronicling Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.

This weekend the annual Fishing Derby was held at the Tarrytown Lakes.

According to Sleepy Hollow Recreation Supervisor Robin Pell, there were about 35 children who came out to fish. Turnout was a little lower than usual, likely due to the rainy weather.

The biggest fish was caught by 11-year-old Nasir Williamson. The most fish were caught by Alec and Hannah Bjorkland. The smallest fish was caught by Lucy Bidel.
