National Public Radio's series Planet Money had an interesting podcast dedicated to the Tappan Zee Bridge on Tuesday.
In their 20-minute post titled A Big Bridge in the Wrong Place, the Planet Money team tackled the literal foundation of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
"You would never look a map of the Hudson River and say, oh yeah, let's build a bridge right here," states the show's host. This launches into an extensively researched piece on how the bridge came to be, and why it has so many problems today.
If you ever wanted to know a little more about the bridge in our backyard, it makes for a great listen. You can hear the podcast here. The piece starts about two minutes and thirty seconds into the podcast.
