Police: Bad Egg Day

Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Police Departments responded to several calls for thrown eggs on Nov. 2.

It was the officially rescheduled Halloween on Friday, Nov. 2, and we had the alleged egg-tossing to go along with it.

In Sleepy Hollow, a caller on Beekman Avenue reported at 4:41 a.m. that someone was throwing eggs at passing cars. Police found no evidence of this when they arrived.

At 7:51 p.m., Sleepy Hollow PD called Tarrytown Police to report that kids were throwing eggs at passing cars by Patriot’s Park. The sergeant reported there would be a delay due to a cruiser with a flat tire. Instead, Sleepy Hollow PD checked the area and reported the youths were gone upon their arrival.

At 8:35 p.m., another call over eggs. A Crest Drive caller reported kids were throwing eggs at her house. The sergeant reported everyone was gone upon his arrival.
