Twenty-five people were arrested near the Tarrytown Music Hall Thursday night for a variety of offenses, many of them drug related.
The arrests happened in a two-hour period between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Those arrested were concertgoers in town to see Dark Star Orchestra, a Grateful Dead cover band.
The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Tarrytown Police Department made the arrests and charged those involved with offenses ranging from disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana to possession of a controlled substance and urinating in public.
Lt. William Herguth with the Tarrytown Police Department was quoted on News 12 Friday saying the department hasn't "had this many arrests in one night in quite some time."
Tarrytown police confirmed that the arrests took place, but could give no further details on Saturday morning. A Lieutenant at the Greenburgh Police Department deferred to the Tarrytown Police Department.
