A Surprisingly Hopeful Way to Look at Cancer

Discover
Your Own Empowerment. Understanding and Managing Cancer and Working to
Prevent Cancer and Recurrence Through Insight, Outlook, and Environment.

We all know that there are many ways of looking at, processing, and living with cancer. In
this workshop, participants will discuss what cancer is (ie. the
“definition”) as well as explore its process and progression. The multiple causes of cancer will be addressed, including physiological, lifestyle, exposure, and emotional. By understanding these possible causes, prevention and prevention of recurrance can be addressed. The
workshop will focus on what is relevant and essential from the
perspective of a person desiring to prevent cancer, a person living with
cancer, as a caregiver, or as family member or friend.

The
end goal of this workshop is empowerment and hope. Specific
recommendations will be given as to what you can do for yourself at the
current moment, and when it might be appropriate to seek outside
guidance.

While individualization is an essential component of understanding each person's unique situation, this workshop is designed to primarily give the attendees tools for a Self Help Process (Not to be confused with a Do It Yourself Project).

Practical Takeaways

  • You
will be given insights to tools that can be used to adjust one's
lifestyle since lifestyle is a major player in both causation and
    prevention of cancer.
  • Since the environment is a major factor as well, you will learn about negative and positive contributors.
  • Basic tools to address thoughts and emotions that play a major role in causation and prevention will be discussed.

No
one size fits all. The goal of this workshop is to provide tools for
both prevention and prevention of recurrence by augmenting what you are
already doing to be healthier, more positive, and more in control on
your road to, or continued, wellness.
