County Executive Robert P. Astorino has announced that the county health department will offer free flu shots to residents on Thursday, Jan. 24, due to the high demand for the shots and increase in flu.
The shots will be given by Westchester County health department nurses at the County Center in White Plains, from 2 pm to 7 pm.
Residents are encouraged to register in advance for the flu shots at www.health.ny.gov/Go2Clinic. You can also call (914) 995-7425, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The flu shot is safe and will provide good protection from the flu throughout the season, which runs through the spring.
