Free Chronic Cough Screening at Phelps Hospital

People often have a chronic cough despite numerous doctor visits, medications, and diagnostic tests.  Coughing associated with throat clearing, voice changes, trouble swallowing, nighttime cough, and vocal spasms can often be caused by chronic laryngopharngeal reflux disease.  Alternatively, some people feel a tickle in the throat that precedes a cough, a dry spot or dryness in the throat or a cough that may be caused by irritation of a nerve.  Free screenings for these types of coughs will be offered by Craig H. Zalvan, MD laryngologist, Medical Director, Institute for Voice and Swallowing Disorders at Phelps Hospital, 701 North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow.  From 8:45 - 10:00 am.  Call 914-366-3220 to register.
