"The Greater Hudson Valley (NY) Chapter is honored to host and promote Ms. Clarke’s book and extraordinary life story," said Karla Jones President, Chapter President. "We know that many will be interested in hearing her story in person; and we encourage those in the community who advocate for adoption or who would benefit from hearing firsthand about the experience to join us on June 5."

Ms. Clarke’s new book captures her adoption as a baby and her chance unearthing of her family ties to the famous Nat King Cole, Clarke’s grandfather. In Ms. Clarke’s words, "There are moments in life that you envision. Winning the lottery. Meeting the love of your life. Cradling your newborn child for the first time. And, if you're adopted, discovering your birth parents. I had occasionally dared to imagine this moment. But I'd never imagined it would be like this."

The book signing is open to the public and will offer Clarke’s autographed book, Postcards from Cookie, for sale following remarks from the author.
