Hudson River Boating Safety Forum

The many barges and
construction vessels in the Hudson River
present significant challenges for even the most careful boaters navigating
around the Tappan Zee
Bridge.

New York
State must take all steps possible to minimize risk
to boaters. We need an ongoing dialogue where the State informs boaters well in
advance of proposed obstructions and boaters provide their insights gained from
experiences in Hudson waters.

To further the
dialogue, the New York Assemblymembers who represent the two Hudson shores
abutting the Bridge
have joined with Hudson River Boat & Yacht Club Association and Hudson
Valley Marine Trades Association to host a Hudson River Roundtable at Tarrytown Village
Hall on October 30 at 7:00 pm.

We invite all boaters
and first responders to attend, listen and give your input.
