Music in the Mansion: Border Crossings

Over many years, Tango, Jazz, Klezmer, Country, and other vibrant sounds from every corner of the globe have found their way into European classical music, creating the dynamic mash-up we’ve come to know as American music. The internationally-acclaimed Music from Copland House ensemble returns to Lyndhurst one last time this summer, following its sold-out Mother’s Day and Bastille Day performances here, for a roof-raising concert of music inspired by French cabarets, Jewish weddings, New York streets, Tango clubs, and Johnny Cash. Join violinist Jennifer Curtis, cellist Alice Yoo, and pianist Michael Boriskin for dazzling performances of music by Aaron Copland, Paul Schoenfield, John Musto, Tango king Astor Piazzolla, and Country fiddle star Mark O’Connor.

Co-sponsored by Copland House.
