Prescriptions-Heroin: The Face of the New User - A Town Hall Event

The abuse of prescription drugs and heroin has reached a crisis level, and no community is immune from this problem.

This is why a group of treatment and prevention agencies and professionals from Westchester County have joined together to hold a Town Hall Event on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 7:00pm-9:00pm.   The event, titled Prescriptions-Heroin, The Face of the New User, will be held at the Chappaqua Library’s Theater in Chappaqua, NY with an informal pre-event beginning at 6:15pm in the Library’s Gallery.  Representative from different prevention and treatment agencies will be on hand at the pre-event to answer any questions and with informational handouts.  Refreshments will be served.

This event is co-sponsored through a partnership of the following agencies – The Lexington Center for Recovery, Phoenix House, Peers Influence Peers, Inc., Mount Kisco Partners in Prevention, Student Assistance Services, Mount Kisco Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Council, Westchester Coalition for Drug & Alcohol Free Youth, Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health and the Chappaqua Library.
