Serve and Remember 9/11 with Support Connection, Inc.: Help people with cancer

Support Connection, a nonprofit that offers free, confidential support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, is looking for enthusiastic and outgoing people to hand out flyers educating the public about their programs in addition to their upcoming 19th Annual Support-A-Walk in October.

This is a great opportunity for families and groups to demonstrate their commitment to those challenged by these cancers. Whether it's because you sympathize or empathize or want to honor someone, let your neighbors know about Support Connection's efforts to ease their burden with support groups and service. This is an ideal volunteer position as you can make it your own as far as time and location.

Volunteers MUST attend one of the following orientations in order to participate. Orientations are 1 hour long and you will learn about the organization, your role and you will receive materials to pass out.

Orientation dates:
Thursday, September 5th, 4pm
Thursday, September 5th, 5pm
Thursday, September 5th, 6pm

Volunteers should be prepared to talk with people and encourage them to participate in the walk. A friendly and outgoing personality is needed for this volunteer opportunity.

Please register online and in advance.

*This is a family-friendly project for children 10 and over. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!
