Solar CITIES Biogas Innovators Project

It is exciting to learn how an individual in our community is involved in an extraordinary project on a global scale. Such is the case with the Biogas Innoventors Project, led by Prof. Thomas Culhane, PhD., a Dobbs Ferry resident and faculty  member at Mercy College.Prepare yourself for an interesting and inspiring evening with Professor Culhane and the background  that led to a global project to create biofuels as a source of energy on small scale level - a mission that is undertaken by small groups of energized individuals in Africa, South America, Asia and the United States. Even in our backyard! The biogas project will soon fuel the animal enclosures at the Greenburgh Nature Center and will be the largest biogas system in New York State. In 2009 Mercy College Visiting Professor Thomas Culhane was named to the 2009 class of National Geographic Emerging Explorers.
