Pianist and Newly Minted MacArthur Genius Award Recipient, Jeremy Denk, Opens 60th Season for Friends of Music Concerts October 5

The New York Times described Jeremy Denk as "...one of the most essential American pianists of the current generation."  Denk will perform on Saturday, October 5 at 8pm at Kusel Auditorium at Sleepy Hollow High School.  It is opening night of the 60th season for Friends of Music Concerts, Inc. 

In 2011, Denk performed to a wildly appreciative Friends of Music audience, who were treated to a performance of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations.  For Saturday's appearance, Denk will perform works of Mozart, Mehldau, Schumann, Beethoven and the Ragtime Suites.
