Notes for Japan: Benefit Concert

Benefit concert to support the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. The concert is organized by Save Japan, a nonprofit organization at Purchase College established by Japanese students.

Award-winning musicians and professional artists will be among 30 performers, including:

  • NEA Jazz Master Toshiko Akiyoshi
  • Multiple Grammy nominated jazz flautist and tenor saxophonist Lew Tabackin
  • Men's Glee Club of New York

All ticket sales will be donated to the J.C.C. fund established by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York and the Nippon Club. The J.C.C. fund is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that will donate all proceeds to the the area of greatest need in Japan.
