Sunflower Planting Afternoon At Historical Society

The weather shifted from grey with sprinkles to warm and sunflower-ready Wednesday afternoon. Just in time for BUDS and other guests to join in the planting party.

About 30 kids and their parents, assisted by Little Gardens and Historical Society volunteers planted the seedlings. Each is accompanied by a stake with the child's name so they can visit and monitor their plant's growth.

There was even swag -- turtle bags with shovels -- from Citibank and homemade old timey treats.
