Forbes Ranks Tarrytown Among Top 10 Prettiest Towns in America

Lyndhurst, Washington Irving and other famous sites and people put us the map; here are some other chances to get us on other maps, and maybe win some $$.

Forbes has dubbed Tarrytown one of 'America's prettiest towns' and we couldn't agree more! We hold our own in their list of ten among such places as Newport, Rhode Island and Key West, Florida. Check out all the contenders with their beautiful photos (ours of the /Main Street and ) here.

The Forbes' blurb notes our "rich history, including being a throughway on the Underground Railroad, name-dropped by Washington Irving in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and, later, one of the preferred Upstate getaways for New York’s rich and powerful, is visible wherever you go in this Hudson River-side town."

Then there's Lyndhurst, "the widely-regarded robber baron Jay Gould’s castle-like mansion in town, is toured by throngs of visitors every year" and about to open up for their spring season.

Sure is nice to be celebrated, but let's not stop there.
