Homeless Rockland Veteran Tours Future Home at Homes for Heroes

Margaret Fitzpatrick, a volunteer decorating the apartments, helped show the Veteran his future home in a quiet neighborhood. The Veteran, who hails from Rockland County, said he was impressed with the apartments. He has been living in his car and the sudden cold weather has made doing so extremely difficult.  Margaret said, “Having volunteered for Homes For Heroes, it was very gratifying to meet one of the Veterans who will be living here and being able to show him his home.”
