Dinner was served for the first time on Tuesday, September 10 at RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen in Tarrytown. It was a "soft opening" intended only for friends, relatives and special invited guests. The restaurant will open to the general public on Monday, September 16, 2013 according to an employee.

The menus are still at the printer the employee said but are expected to arrive in time for the opening. The employee said that reservations can be made by calling 914-631-3100.

RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen is a sister restaurant to Crabtree's Kittle House Restaurant & Inn in Chappaqua, NY.

The restaurant has 125 inside seats plus additional seating on a patio, weather permitting. It has a large bar, a pizza oven, and occupies a separate building on West Main Street in the Hudson Harbor complex, close to the Tarrytown Metro-North train station. Coming to the same location soon will be a gourmet market and a wine shop to be called RiverMarket Wines & Spirits.

The restaurant can be reached by crossing over the four-track, Tarrytown train station bridge, exiting to the left and then making an immediate right turn from Green Street onto West Main Street. The bridge is presently being repaired and only the south ramp (the ramp nearest to the train station house) was open last weekend.
