Tarrytown's mural '17tugs' is going to Irvington!
The limited edition incarnation of these "icons of steady endeavor" make their way down-river for the RiverArts Open Studios Tour.
Don’t worry, C-town’s painted brick facade isn’t being dismantled; the artists who painted the mural last summer have spent the winter printing an edition of the woodcut prints that appear on this mural and they are launching them at this year’s RiverArts Open Studios.
It is the portable component of this public portfolio as it was originally conceived: both a mural and a limited edition of woodcut prints. Beyond the heroic work/progress metaphor of the tugboat, the participants represent the diversity of our engaged community. We hope you’ll come to take a look!
