Let’s Talk Makeup!! Let’s Talk Makeup Forever...

I look forward to doing more Research & Development with Makeup Forever products! Of course as your Beauty Expert & Blogger I will share all my findings.

I recently went on vacation which in addition to R & R, offers me the opportunity to do Research and Development of new Cosmetic products that may be considered for the Advanced Makeup Course & JKFlashy Makeup Service makeup kits.

JKFlashy recently established a relationship with Makeup Forever.  One of the initial steps in developing a relationship with any company is getting acquainted with the products.  I have really enjoyed this process with the various cosmetic companies we have relationships with.  My first product I tested was Makeup Forever Sens ‘Eyes.  It is an oil free makeup remover and I really wanted to test how well it removed long wearing makeup.  I applied a full face of makeup at 3am before my travels.  My makeup endured quite a bit of traveling, including 1 flight, 1 cab ride, 1 yacht ride, dinner and light grocery shopping.  Eighteen hours later, at 9pm, my makeup looked the same as it had at 3am and I was eager to try Sens ‘Eyes.  I put a nickel size in my palm, which may have been too generous and gently rubbed against my closed eyes.  No burning, irritation, extremely comfortable, creamy and soothing against my face and closed eyes.  I gently rubbed for 2 minutes and then rinsed, eyes still closed with warm water.  My makeup was completely cleaned off and my face felt and looked very clean.  More importantly, removal of my makeup which had been on my face a very long day was a very comfortable process.  I did not wear much makeup on vacation but when I did, I had an amazing Makeup Remover.  I highly recommend Sens ‘Eyes!

The second product I tested was Aqua Eyes by Makeup Forever.  This product is a water proof pencil eye liner.  I have been a long time fan of the Gel Liner, preferably the JKFlashy Gel Liner.  That being said, I remained open minded...I applied this product before a long night out...I applied to my inner water line, the color I chose was Navy Blue.  With my rich chestnut eye color any color eye liner would be appropriate.  When I returned back to my suite, my liner was still perfect and to really put this product to the test, I slept with it on.  A big “no, no” sleeping with makeup on...but yes I did it!!  When I woke up, my eye liner had not budged!!  I was impressed.  I figured why ruin a good thing?!  I kept it on while I continued with my morning workout and ran 3 miles.  In order to remove this proven long wearing product I needed my trusty Sens ‘Eyes Makeup Forever makeup remover.  I highly recommend Aqua Eyes!

A big part of the problem is that the teachers' expectations about what supplies are necessary haveRead More become so extreme. When my kids were in school in Tarrytown, we would get a list at the beginning of every school year of the supplies we needed to buy. The parents were asked to buy a separate looseleaf binder for every single class our kids were taking and, for some classes, they asked for a looseleaf AND a spiral notebook. When I was in school, each kid had ONE looseleaf and we separated classes with dividers. Having SIX or seven loose leafs adds to backpack weight and costs a lot of money. My kids supply bills were often close to $100 apiece. The teachers have bought into this idea that all of these supplies are necessary and they are not. I'm not surprised that Staples is offering "rewards programs." Their advertising and marketing efforts have convinced the teachers that you must have a package of 12 red correcting pens, per child.
