When Avra Blieden, owner of The Sanctuary Boutique in Mamaroneck, delivered ten yoga mats to MHA Westchester's Sterling Community Center, she was asked what inspired her to make the donation.  Avra responded: "I did not want the mats to end up in landfills and thought the answer was to ask yoga students at The Yoga Sanctuary for their unused mats and find them a new home. I am delighted that The Sterling Community Center in White Plains wanted them and will  put them to good use."

Yoga is a favorite activity at Sterling. Yoga is also promoted throughout The Mental Health Association as a positive and healthy activity for clients and staff alike. This June 18, MHA will hold their 3rd annual Get On Your Mat for Mental Health with celebrated yoga teacher, Matt Sanford. Live music will be by Answer the Muse.
